The Set Up

  • The ideal water temperature is 195-205 ℉
  • Pro Tip: No thermometer? No problem. Simply bring water to boil, then remove from heat and wait 30 seconds before starting your pour.
  • Tear open the foil pouch packet and remove the pouch
  • Gently tap the top of the pouch to move the grounds below the perforation and prevent spillage.
  • Pinch filter below the perforation and tear along the lines.

The Placement

  • Pull the filter open by the arms and place over your cup.
  • Fold the arms back to to secure the pouch.
  • Pro tip: taller cups and mugs work nicely because then the pouch remains above the coffee that has already dripped into the cup. 
 

The Ideal Pour

  • Pour a enough water over the grounds to coat the grounds and wait about 15 seconds. This allows CO2 to escape (referred to as a “bloom).” Blooming enables the grounds to absorb water better and extract more flavor.
  • After 15-20 seconds , resume pouring water gradually over the grounds until you have the ideal amount of coffee in your cup.
  • Enjoy your delicious cup of coffee.
