SUBSCRIPTION FAQ’S

We send all subscription boxes in the last week of the month. All new subscribers who sign up before the 20th of the month will receive their first box that month. New subscribers that sign up after the 20th will receive their first box at the end of the following month.

Your card will be charged at the time of checkout unless you choose an option that includes the first month free.

Each month we roast 3 new single origin coffees, which are included in that month’s subscription box shipments.

At the current time we only offer subscriptions in the Unites States but plan to expand to other countries in the near future.

The cancellation policy varies by the type of subscription. Up Front subscriptions (6 months or 12 months) may not be cancelled and no refunds will be offered after the first box has shipped. If you have a month to month subscription you must cancel prior to the payment for that month, otherwise your subscription cancellation will take effect the following month. 

We currently accept most major credit cards and Paypal.

Yes, we offer refills as long as there is stock available. You can even order previous month’s blends.

Go to the My Account page at https://freecoffeebox.com/account and click the “Edit Address” link. Once you are there you can update your billing address, shipping address, or both. If you continue to have difficulties, then you should reach out to us via the contact form on the website.

We take email compliance seriously so if you would like to stop receiving emails just click the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any email and choose to unsubscribe or adjust your subscription settings.

Login to your account and go to the subscriptions tab. You can change your subscription there and we will email you with a confirmation on the changes made within 24 Hours.

We hate to see you go but if you want to cancel then simply login to your account and go to the “My Subscription” section to cancel.

If your monthly payment is declined one of our support representatives will reach out to you to get a new payment source. If we can’t reach you then your subscription box will not be sent that month.

COFFEE FAQ’S

We guarantee that your coffee will be fresh when its delivered. We roast and package each month’s selections within one month of delivery so you can be sure that your coffee is fresh. Additionally, the single serve pour over stay fresh for up to one year.

One of the great things about our single serve pour over coffee packet as they are double nitrogen flushed, which removed oxygen from the package and keeps each serving as fresh as the day it was roasted for up to one year.

First and foremost, single origin refers to the traceability of the beans. You know exactly where your coffee is from and that it’s not a blend. Single origin coffee is distinguished as specialty coffees that are higher quality and possessing distinct flavors of the harvest. Beans are usually cultivated on small farms and co-ops, picked by hand, and grown in some of the most fertile equatorial regions.

We have a very strong commitment to making environmentally friendly products. The foil package for each pouch is certified as recyclable. In addition, the box is corrugated cardboard and it is also recyclable.

As a subscriber you will receive 3 new single origin coffees to try each month. We guarantee that at least one of them will be certified organic and at least one will also be fair trade certified. Our roasting and packaging facilities are also certified organic, Kosher, and Halal certified.

All our coffees are roasted and packaged in an SQF certified allergen free environment and include or come in contact with any nuts. Even if the coffee offers “tasting notes” that suggest a nutty flavor this does not mean they include nuts.

No, we currently only offer unflavored coffee, but each is roasted to bring out the natural flavors of the beans from the region it was grown. There are many factors that can affect flavor including botanical variety, soil, climate, altitude, and shade.

POUR OVER FAQ’S

The single serve pour over pouches are designed to make a delicious 8-10-ounce cup of coffee.

We recommend using water heated to 195° – 205° Fahrenheit. Don’t have a thermometer? Since water boils at 212° so you can simply allow the water to boil, remove from the heat source, and then wait about 30 seconds before brewing.

When preparing pour coffee, we recommend that you first “bloom” the grounds. Blooming is simply the process of pre-wetting the grounds and letting the wet grounds absorb the water and sit briefly before adding the remaining water.
